Position Summary:

The Automotive Sales Consultant is responsible for selling new and pre-owned vehicles while ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction throughout the sales process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve dealership sales targets.
  • Welcome customers and ascertain their vehicle preferences.
  • Demonstrate vehicle features and provide test drives.
  • Recommend additional products and services to enhance customer experience.
  • Calculate and communicate pricing details, including taxes and discounts.
  • Complete all necessary documentation related to vehicle sales.
  • Coordinate vehicle delivery and registration processes.
  • Stay informed about vehicle availability and options.
  • Engage in proactive business development activities.
  • Address and resolve customer inquiries and concerns.
  • Maintain customer satisfaction index at or above company standards.
  • Keep a tidy and safe work environment.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development.
  • Accurately record hours worked in the company timekeeping system.
  • Adhere to safety regulations and company policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Additional education in Automotive or Business fields is a plus.

Experience:

  • Prior experience in sales or customer service is preferred.
  • Up to 3 years of relevant experience is desirable.

Licenses:

  • Valid Driver's License is required.

Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and capable of learning customer management software.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions.

Physical Requirements:

This position involves frequent standing, walking, and sitting, as well as interaction with customers both indoors and outdoors.
