Sterile Processing Technician Level II

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a highly skilled Sterile Processing Technician Level II to join our team in South San Francisco, California.
Key Responsibilities- Process and sterilize surgical instruments, trays, and packs to ensure they are safe for use in patient care.
- Inventory, restock, and distribute instruments, reusable medical equipment, and medical supplies to medical centers and medical office buildings.
- Work in a Sterile Processing Department, cleaning, preparing, assembling, sterilizing, and preparing packs, instruments, and trays for medical centers and medical office buildings.
- Assist in departmental in-services and training, and participate in quality assurance monitoring and documentation.
- Adhere to infection control, quality assurance, and departmental policies and procedures, and maintain accurate records and documentation.
- One year of experience in instrument processing, with knowledge of medical terminology, surgical procedures, and surgical schedules.
- Ability to operate Sterile Processing departmental equipment, such as washers, ultrasonic, steam, gas, and chemical sterilizers.
- Knowledge of cleaning and sterilization protocols, and ability to read and comprehend complex instructions and correspondence.
- Effective oral and written communication skills, with ability to present information to customers, clients, and other team members.
