Aircraft Maintenance Instructor

Are you passionate about teaching and aviation? We're seeking an experienced Aircraft Maintenance Instructor to join our team at the Aviation Institute of Maintenance in Las Vegas, NV.

Job Summary:

The Aircraft Maintenance Instructor is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in aircraft maintenance principles, ensuring students grasp both theoretical concepts and practical applications. This role is pivotal in fostering a supportive learning environment that promotes student success and prepares them for careers in the aviation industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach classes on a scheduled basis, creating an inclusive and welcoming environment that fosters student engagement and enhances learning in aircraft maintenance.
  • Collaborate with the Program Coordinator, Campus Director of Education, and Campus Executive Director to develop and refine curriculum, prepare course materials, and schedule classes, ensuring alignment with industry standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom and laboratory environment, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly maintained for student use.
  • Establish and maintain accurate academic and attendance records for each student, submitting attendance, grades, evaluations, and other documentation as required by institutional procedures.

Requirements:

  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic Certificate
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum three (3) years of hands-on experience in aircraft maintenance (special considerations will be given for more diverse experience)
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, performance-driven, and compliance-oriented educational setting.
