Position Overview

Utilize your technical expertise to assist colleagues throughout the organization in maximizing productivity as we pursue our ambitious objectives. The IT Support Specialist is a proficient technician who enjoys collaborating with team members to resolve issues. This role presents an excellent opportunity to apply technical knowledge, troubleshoot, and resolve challenges efficiently while proactively implementing enhancements that boost productivity and ensure seamless workdays for all.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver friendly, front-line support to in-house personnel.
  • Quickly and effectively monitor and respond to requests received via in-person interactions, email, tickets, and phone calls, ensuring issues are resolved.
  • Assist new employees in getting set up for work by providing guidance on IT tools and processes as necessary.
  • Collaborate with IT leadership on emerging projects and work across the organization to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Draft and update technical documentation as required.
  • Ensure systems are secure against cybersecurity threats.
  • Track issues, research best practices, and recommend projects to enhance systems and operations.

Qualifications and Skills

  • 5+ years of relevant work experience with a commitment to continuous learning and collaboration.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, both in person and over the phone.
  • Ability to adapt smoothly to changing work environments, processes, and procedures.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proficient in diagnosing and resolving technical issues.
  • Solid understanding of firewalls, switches, Windows servers, web servers, and Active Directory.
  • Familiarity with VoIP phones, computer systems, software deployment, and other technology products, along with the ability to support staff in their use.
  • Knowledgeable about Windows Operating Systems and Office Suites.
  • Good grasp of essential information security principles and best practices.
  • Organized and dependable, with a self-starter attitude and practical execution skills.
  • An energetic, optimistic, and collaborative team player.
