Job Description

Zaxby's is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Restaurant General Manager to lead our team and drive sales. As a Restaurant General Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our restaurant, ensuring that our personnel and product meet the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive Sales: Ensure that your store provides outstanding product and service to drive sales and customer satisfaction.
  • Team Management: Monitor training levels and provide Team Members and Shift Managers with the necessary training to excel in their roles.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels and ensure that our restaurant is well-stocked and organized.
  • Operational Excellence: Execute all systems on a daily basis to ensure a clean, organized restaurant that delivers the highest quality of food with best-in-class service.
  • Performance and Profit Expectations: Operate in accordance with established performance and profit expectations set by corporate.
  • Team Motivation: Daily supervise and motivate Team Members and Shift Managers to perform to their highest level.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Have a good working knowledge of all equipment and assume responsibility for preventive maintenance of a unit.
  • Service Standards: Maintain high standards of service throughout the operational day by demonstrating management by example.
  • Staff Recruitment: Recruit and hire hourly staff (FOH & BOH) in accordance with guiding principles set by our culture.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with staff, marketing, and Director of Operations.
  • Marketing Support: Assist Marketing Director with execution of marketing plans.
  • Culture Champion: Provide leadership by generating excitement, enthusiasm, a positive mental attitude, and commitment toward company objectives.
  • Community Engagement: Be the champion of our culture: set out to fellowship with your staff and community such that we deliver encore experiences for every customer who walks through our doors.
  • Adaptability: Maintain an attitude of flexibility that allows performance above and beyond the parameters of this position description.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Restaurant Management Experience: 2-3 years of experience in restaurant management.
  • FOH and BOH Operations: Understanding of front-of-house and back-of-house operations.
  • Food Handlers Certification: Possession of a valid food handlers certification.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills.
  • Time Management: Strong time management skills.
  • PL and Inventory Statements: Ability to understand PL and inventory statements.
  • Availability: Must be able to work nights and weekends.
  • Adaptability: Ability to be adaptable and flexible.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work and lead with a team.
  • Motivation: Ability to motivate a team.
  • Decision Making: Decision-making skills.
  • Education: High school graduate (required), college or technical college (optional).
  • Background Check: Background check required.
