Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Warehouse Operations Manager to join our team at Samuel Son & Co. as a Warehouse Lead. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our warehouse, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Warehouse Operations
    • Oversee the daily workflow of warehouse operators, ensuring that all tasks are completed on time and to a high standard.
    • Prepare and coordinate the movement of goods, including LTL and truckload orders.
    • Verify that orders are accurately pulled and staged for warehouse operators.
    • Process and prepare receivables for warehouse and production use.
    • Ensure that inventory is rotated and managed effectively, adhering to FIFO principles.
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Lead and motivate a team of warehouse operators, providing guidance and support as needed.
    • Engage with operations and production teams to ensure effective collaboration and communication.
    • Assure compliance with all company policies and procedures, including safety protocols.
  • Inventory Management
    • Monitor and analyze inventory levels, identifying potential shortages and discrepancies.
    • Work with the shipping supervisor to ensure accurate inventory management and minimize stockouts.
    • Process and coordinate customer returns, ensuring that all necessary documentation is completed.
  • Equipment and Safety
    • Ensure that all warehouse equipment is properly maintained and operated.
    • Enforce safety protocols and procedures, ensuring that all employees are aware of and adhere to them.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Associate degree or equivalent in a related field, or 2-4 years of relevant work experience.
    • 2-3 years of experience in manufacturing or a related field, preferably with forklift certification.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word.
    • Knowledge of inventory management systems and procedures.
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment, with regular exposure to heavy lifting, bending, and standing. Personal protective equipment, including safety glasses and hearing protection, will be provided.
