Position Overview

Scripps Health Administrative Services plays a crucial role in supporting our network of hospitals and outpatient facilities, which collectively serve a vast number of patients each year through a dedicated team of healthcare professionals.

This is a full-time position with benefits, featuring a 12-hour evening shift from 9 AM to 9:30 PM, incorporating Charge RN responsibilities. The selected candidate will also participate in the Neuro call team, necessitating a robust skill set in neuro surgical procedures.

Scripps Green Hospital, a 173-bed facility, has been a cornerstone of the La Jolla and greater San Diego communities since 1977. Our Surgery Team is involved in a wide range of procedures, including organ transplants and cardiac robotics, operating across 12 operating rooms and managing approximately 900 cases monthly. The ideal candidate will possess at least one year of operating room experience, particularly in Neuro, Ortho, General, Urology, Vascular, and Spine surgeries. This dynamic and fast-paced environment demands collaboration and teamwork to ensure the highest standards of patient care.

  • Deliver direct patient care within the parameters of your professional practice.
  • Engage in patient care activities including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care plans to monitor patient progress.
  • Assume primary responsibility for patient care as directed by the Care Team under your supervision.
  • Collaborate effectively with other healthcare team members to guarantee optimal patient outcomes.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of one year of recent RN experience in the Operating Room (Circulating) or successful completion of Scripps' peri-operative training program or an equivalent external program.
  • Valid California Registered Nurse License.
  • Current American Heart Association BLS provider certification.
  • Proficiency in speaking, reading, and following instructions in English.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate positive professional behaviors.
  • Registered nursing degree from an accredited institution.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two or more years of surgical experience preferred.
  • Charge RN experience and a strong background in neuro surgeries are highly desirable.
  • Registered nursing degree from an accredited institution.
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing.
