Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned Field Service Operations Manager to oversee a large team of Heavy Equipment Field Mechanics in a fast-paced industry. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of supervising a team of 25 Field Technicians tasked with repairing and maintaining construction and mining equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Repair and Maintenance Oversight: Ensure efficient and effective repair and maintenance operations, including closing work orders and managing inventory.
  • Quote Preparation and Management: Prepare and manage quotes for repairs and maintenance work in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Work Order Review and Evaluation: Review and evaluate all work orders for accuracy, ensuring that all necessary information is included and that work is completed to a high standard.
  • Customer and Internal Dispute Resolution: Negotiate and settle customer and internal service disputes in a fair and professional manner.
  • Departmental P & L Management: Control and evaluate departmental profit and loss, including capital expenditures, to ensure optimal financial performance.
  • Team Management and Development: Interact with other department employees, promote a team environment, and provide guidance and support to team members to ensure their success.
  • Employee Relations and Development: Handle all employee issues, including hiring, mentoring, disciplinarian actions, and terminations, in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Training and Development: Monitor and schedule technician training to ensure that team members stay current with the latest technology and industry developments.
Requirements
  • Strong Organizational and Customer Service Skills: Possess excellent organizational and customer service skills, with the ability to prioritize and complete all tasks required.
  • Exceptional Time Management Skills: Demonstrate exceptional time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Industry Experience: Have a minimum of 5 years' experience working in a management capacity in the heavy construction and mining equipment industry.
  • Communication Skills: Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers, employees, and other stakeholders.
  • Computer Skills: Have strong computer skills, with the ability to use industry-specific software and systems.
Compensation and Benefits

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary, ranging from $90k to $130k per year, depending on experience and qualifications. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401k, PTO, and a company vehicle and gas card.

Work Schedule

The work schedule is a standard day shift, Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 5:00 pm.
