The Role
In this position, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating both preventative and corrective maintenance of the Company's production equipment to ensure optimal reliability and compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be tasked with a variety of duties, including but not limited to:
- Effectively managing resources and information to achieve targets through a comprehensive Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) Program aimed at enhancing equipment reliability and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
- Driving the ongoing development and refinement of the TPM program.
- Leading maintenance troubleshooting efforts to identify root causes, developing timely solutions, and communicating results to relevant stakeholders.
- Managing actions related to the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) as necessary.
- Conducting inspections to assess the reparability of equipment, scheduling repairs, and formulating a strategy for asset retirement and replacement.
- Overseeing the inventory of spare parts essential for maintenance, ensuring budget compliance while maintaining availability of critical spares.
- Initiating change controls for equipment modifications and supporting the creation of User Requirement Specifications.
- Assisting in the preparation of Functional Requirements Specifications and Functional Design Specifications for new equipment.
- Prioritizing maintenance tasks and optimizing resource utilization to maximize engineering effectiveness.
- Leading, mentoring, and motivating the maintenance team to deliver high-quality service and maintain excellent standards.
- Conducting people management activities and identifying development opportunities for team members.
- Managing relationships with contractors and external service providers.
- Taking responsibility for budget management and optimizing expenditures within the assigned area.
- Ensuring compliance with Standard Operating Procedures and regulatory requirements, performing tasks in accordance with industry standards.
- Investigating and documenting quality events related to maintenance activities.
- Providing regular performance updates and reports to highlight maintenance team achievements and potential challenges.

- An associate degree in engineering or a related field; a higher-level degree or professional certification in maintenance management is preferred.
- A minimum of 7 years of progressive maintenance experience, including prior management experience, ideally in a regulated environment.
- In-depth knowledge of pharmaceutical technology and equipment, along with practical engineering principles.
- Extensive understanding of TPM and its effective implementation.
- Proven problem-solving skills with a track record of addressing major issues at their source.
- Strong leadership and team development capabilities.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- A compliance-oriented mindset with knowledge of relevant Quality and EHS regulations.
- Proficient technical writing skills for documenting changes and investigations.
- Computer proficiency, particularly with Microsoft Office and CMMS systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
- Fluency in English; bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a plus.
