POSITION SUMMARY:

The Admissions Specialist is essential to our organization, serving as the initial contact for individuals seeking assistance with substance use challenges. As a compassionate and informed professional, you will provide crucial information, support, and guidance to prospective clients and their families throughout the admissions journey. Your commitment to aiding those in need will enhance our mission to deliver comprehensive care and treatment for individuals facing substance use disorders.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Respond to Inquiries: Address questions from individuals seeking assistance, their families, and other professionals through various communication channels. Deliver clear and supportive information.
  • Information and Education: Provide detailed insights into the facility's treatment options, services, and policies to potential clients and their families. Educate them on available treatment paths and the recovery journey.
  • Initial Assessments: Conduct compassionate and thorough evaluations of potential clients to assess their suitability for admission into our treatment programs.
  • Facilitate Admissions: Assist clients and their families through the admissions process, including verifying insurance details, gathering necessary documentation, and coordinating transportation if needed.
  • Confidentiality Maintenance: Ensure strict confidentiality and comply with all legal and ethical standards regarding client information management.
  • Record Management: Keep precise and current records of all interactions with potential clients and their families, documenting inquiries, assessments, and progress throughout the admissions process.
  • Crisis Support: Provide immediate support and intervention for individuals and families facing urgent situations related to substance use.
  • Ongoing Support: Extend continued assistance to individuals who may have deferred or declined treatment, offering encouragement and resources for future help.

Compensation:

  • Annual Salary: $35,000
  • Performance-based bonus opportunities

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in a similar role, ideally within a substance use treatment environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of substance use disorders, treatment methods, and recovery processes.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating empathy and understanding.
  • Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail for effective record-keeping and admissions management.
  • Familiarity with insurance verification processes is a plus.
  • Capacity to thrive in a dynamic environment, manage crisis situations, and adapt to evolving priorities.
