POSITION SUMMARY:
The Admissions Specialist is integral to our organization, serving as the initial contact for individuals seeking assistance with substance use challenges. With a compassionate and informed approach, you will provide essential information, guidance, and support to prospective clients and their families throughout the admissions journey. Your commitment to aiding those in need will significantly enhance our mission to deliver comprehensive care and treatment for individuals facing substance use disorders.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Respond to Inquiries: Address questions from individuals in need, their families, and other professionals through various communication channels. Ensure that the information provided is clear, accurate, and delivered in a supportive manner.
- Information and Education: Deliver detailed information regarding the facility's treatment offerings, services, and policies to potential clients and their families. Educate them about available treatment options and the recovery process.
- Initial Assessments: Perform comprehensive and empathetic evaluations of potential clients to assess their eligibility and suitability for our treatment programs.
- Admissions Facilitation: Assist clients and their families through the admissions process, including verifying insurance coverage, collecting necessary documentation, and coordinating transportation if needed.
- Confidentiality Maintenance: Ensure strict confidentiality and compliance with all legal and ethical standards regarding client information management.
- Record Keeping: Keep accurate and current records of all interactions with potential clients and their families, documenting inquiries, assessments, and progress throughout the admissions process.
- Crisis Support: Provide immediate support and intervention for individuals and families facing urgent situations related to substance use challenges.
- Ongoing Support: Extend continued assistance to individuals who may have deferred or declined treatment, offering encouragement and resources for future help-seeking.
COMPENSATION:
- Annual Salary: $35,000
- Performance-based bonus opportunities
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in a similar capacity, ideally within a substance use treatment environment.
- Thorough understanding of substance use disorders, treatment methods, and recovery processes.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating empathy and compassion.
- Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail for accurate record maintenance and efficient admissions management.
- Familiarity with insurance verification and related documentation is beneficial.
- Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced setting, manage crisis situations, and adapt to evolving priorities.
- A non-judgmental and open-minded approach to working with diverse populations.
