Job Overview

The Maintenance Supervisor position plays a crucial role in supporting the local Maintenance team at International Steel and Counterweights. This role reports directly to the Operations Manager and is responsible for coordinating daily activities, managing employee attendance, and evaluating employee performance.


Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate maintenance activities and delegate tasks to team members
  • Manage employee attendance and hours worked, ensuring compliance with company policies
  • Evaluate employee performance and provide coaching and training as needed
  • Inspect materials and equipment to detect malfunctions and ensure safe working conditions
  • Lead employees in company safety initiatives and foster a safe work environment


Requirements

  • Three or more years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to maintain maintenance operations through supervising, planning, and monitoring labor productivity
  • Previous hands-on experience in manufacturing maintenance and strong electrical knowledge
  • Experience in hydraulic and PLC systems, with a strong understanding of safety protocols
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with employees
  • Ability to problem-solve and resolve issues in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfort with computers and software applications, including Microsoft Office and Excel
