Job Title: Controller

About the Role:
Chronicle Heritage is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Controller to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of accounting, including financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage the accounting transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Develop and maintain financial models and forecasts to support business decisions.
  • Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement financial strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting and tax regulations, including ASC 606 revenue recognition model.
  • Perform internal audits and assist with external audits.

Requirements:
  • Accounting or finance degree.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Controller or similar role.
  • 3+ years of experience with general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable functions.
  • Knowledge of and working experience using Sage Intacct.
  • Proficient to expert knowledge of accounting principles, procedures, and legislation.
  • Knowledge of ASC 606 revenue recognition model.

Preferred Skills:
  • BSc or MSc in Accounting or Finance.
  • CPA or CMA preferred.
  • Experience using Sage Intacct.
  • Experience in a project and/or professional services environment.
  • ERP implementation/conversion experience.
  • M&A integration experience.

Physical and Mental Requirements:
  • Vision is required to observe environmental phenomena and record and translate observations into text.
  • Mental requirements include ability to organize one's own work or that of crew members.
  • Some work is performed primarily in an indoor environment and requires sustained sitting and use of fingers, hands, and arms to operate a computer and perform keyboard entry of data or document preparation.
