Position Overview
This role involves the development, planning, and dissemination of intricate policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Formulate resource estimates and assess resource distributions.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership on civilian workforce matters, aiding in the creation of personnel policies, programs, and procedures.
  • Ensure that program objectives, planning, and execution align with established program requirements.
  • Analyze and interpret policy statements, regulations, directives, and other operational materials, providing recommendations for optimal options.
  • Oversee the management of the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) training and development programs, issuing policy and guidance for the acquisition workforce.
  • Provide advisory services, training, and data analysis to Acquisition Career Field managers and senior officials regarding DAWIA policies and acquisition talent management.
  • As a supervisor, plan and prioritize work for subordinates, evaluate their performance, and identify training needs.
  • Manage the Command's Awards Program.

Requirements
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must be deemed suitable for federal employment.
  • Participation in the direct deposit pay program is mandatory.
  • New Department of the Navy employees must successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check.
  • Must obtain and maintain a security clearance prior to starting the position.
  • Ability to travel to various locations, including remote sites, may be required.

Qualifications
Your resume should demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience should include:
  • Implementing strategic management concepts within the defense acquisition sector.
  • Understanding DAWIA workforce administration requirements and related program objectives.

Additional Information
This position is part of a Civilian Acquisition Workforce Personnel Demonstration Project (AcqDemo) with a salary range from $104,604 to $146,285. This position is also covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Additional vacancies may be filled through this announcement.
