Position Overview
This role involves the formulation, dissemination, and interpretation of intricate policies and procedures. You will be responsible for:

Key Responsibilities
You will analyze and interpret policy documents, regulations, directives, and other operational materials, providing recommendations for optimal utilization of options. Your duties will also include:
  • Managing the Department of Defense (DoD) and Department of the Navy (DON) Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) training and career management programs.
  • Providing advisory services, training, and data analysis to Marine Corps Acquisition Career Field managers and senior officials regarding DAWIA policies and acquisition talent management.
  • As a supervisor, you will plan and oversee the work of subordinates, set priorities, evaluate performance, and identify training needs.
  • Overseeing the management of the Command's Awards Program.
Qualifications
To qualify for this position, candidates must be U.S. citizens and meet several conditions of employment, including suitability for federal employment and participation in the direct deposit pay program. Applicants must also be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
Experience Requirements
Your resume should demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in federal service or comparable experience in the private or public sector. This experience should include:
  • Implementing strategic management concepts within the defense acquisition context.
  • Understanding DAWIA workforce administration requirements and related program objectives.
Additional Information
This position is part of a Civilian Acquisition Workforce Personnel Demonstration Project (AcqDemo) with a salary range from $104,604 to $146,285. Candidates may be eligible for relocation expenses in accordance with applicable travel regulations. Federal annuitants and military spouses may have specific considerations for employment.
