HunaTek Government Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Cost Analyst to join our team. As a Cost Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting our government clients in the Northern Virginia area.
Key Responsibilities- Perform comprehensive cost analyses to evaluate client programs, including life cycle cost estimates, Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) cost estimates, Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCE), and ad hoc cost studies.
- Develop Cost Analysis Requirements Descriptions (CARDs) and support program office estimate activities.
- Support the development and maintenance of cost and affordability models, as well as the analysis of complex data.
- Build and defend budget requirements, and assist in forecasting future funding needs.
- Evaluate contracting strategy and courses of action, and conduct planning for the acquisition of capabilities.
- Identify sustainment cost impacts of acquisition decisions, and support solution delivery to a baselined schedule.
- Provide a basis and supporting materials for briefings to management at the executive and oversight levels for all affected program/project funding requirements.
- Work autonomously and as part of a team to meet organizational and project goals.
- US Citizenship is required.
- Active Secret Security Clearance or ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Proficiency with uncertainty/risk software packages.
- Knowledge of the Government Acquisition Programs.
- Ability to lead detail-oriented tasks and multi-task under minimal supervision.
- Ability to present analytical results to senior leaders/stakeholders.
- Ability to manage and work with large data sets.
- Possession of excellent data gathering and analytical skills.
- Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Automated Cost Estimating Integrated Tools (ACEIT), Crystal Ball, or SEER for IT.
- Certified Cost Estimator/Analyst (CCEA) or Professional Cost Estimator/Analyst (PCEA) certification.
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., economics, engineering, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or business).
- Five to eight years' experience performing cost analyses, financial management, acquisition experience, or a combination of these areas for DoD, intelligence, or civil agency programs.
- Prior experience in Navy/Marine Corps sector is preferred.
- Prior experience supporting Government Acquisition Programs.
- Preferred: Prior experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) Acquisition Programs (ACAT I-IV).
- Preferred: Prior financial management and program management experience.
