Key Responsibilities
  • The Detection Engineer Analyst SME will support the production of detection use cases, utilizing advanced knowledge and skills in cybersecurity and information assurance.
  • The Detection Engineer Analyst SME will provide senior-level knowledge and IA abilities to support detection monitoring activities, ensuring the highest level of security and compliance.
  • The Detection Engineer Analyst SME will utilize logs and alerts from various sources, including host operating systems, network intrusion prevention systems, endpoint detection and response tools, anti-virus and host intrusion prevention systems, to create the ability to detect malicious or unauthorized activity on the network.
  • The selected candidate will develop and perform various IA tasks in accordance with customer requirements, ensuring successful support of detection monitoring requirements.
Requirements
  • Certification Requirements: This position requires DoD IAT Level III compliance. The selected candidate must hold a valid IAT Level III certification.
  • Education/Experience: A bachelor's degree and five (5) years of relevant experience in cybersecurity, engineering, or information assurance are required. Experience with IA tools such as eMass or ACAS is preferred.
  • Security Clearance: An active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility is required. The applicant selected will be subject to security investigation(s) and must maintain eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
