We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Clinical Technology Specialist to join our operations team at ForTec Medical. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical support to surgeons and staff in the operating room, ensuring the safe and effective use of medical devices and equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Operate and Maintain Medical Devices: Operate surgical lasers and other medical devices, providing technical guidance to surgeons and staff prior to and during surgery.
- Pre-Operative Preparation: Perform pre-operative checklists, sterilization, laser calibrations, and complete required paperwork to ensure a smooth and efficient surgical process.
- Communication and Collaboration: Review patient procedure requirements with surgeons and staff before the case, and maintain open communication throughout the procedure.
- Equipment Management: Conduct medical equipment inventories, ensuring that all devices are properly calibrated and maintained.
- Safety and Compliance: Practice safe vehicle operations, safe workplace practices, and laser safety techniques to ensure a safe working environment.
- Teamwork and Collaboration: Foster a team-oriented working relationship with both ForTec Medical employees and client employees.
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: Prior medical, EMT, Surgical Technologist, or military experience is a plus, but not required.
- Skills: Ability to work independently, strong problem-solving skills, outstanding communication and customer service skills, strong organizational skills with a high attention to detail, and basic computer skills.
- Physical Demands: Ability to push, pull, or manipulate over 50 pounds of medical equipment.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license and good driving record required.
