Job Overview

As a Clinical Diabetes Specialist, you will collaborate with a Territory Business Leader to launch our new insulin pump and future products. Your primary responsibility will be to deliver exceptional clinical education and product training to healthcare providers and people with diabetes, driving product adoption and sustained use.

In partnership with the TBL, you will develop territory strategies and initiatives to meet or exceed territory goals. As a Senior Clinical Diabetes Specialist, you will take on a leadership role within the team, mentoring junior staff, assisting with field sales training, and participating in internal advisory boards.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop effective territory planning and strategies with the TBL to meet or exceed territory goals.
  2. Execute clinical selling strategies within assigned accounts.
  3. Assess referrals for product use in people with diabetes to confirm criteria are met for product utilization.
  4. Facilitate product education and training for users of Sequel products.
  5. Drive healthcare provider adoption and confidence in Sequel products by promoting the clinical benefits of automated insulin delivery with Sequel products and conducting impactful product demonstrations.
  6. Certify healthcare providers to conduct product training for people with diabetes.
  7. Facilitate virtual product training and other educational webinars.
  8. Communicate user feedback cross-functionally to solve problems and improve product development.
  9. Collaborate with customer care and sales support to optimize the user experience.
Requirements
  • A valid professional license in one or more of the following fields: RN, RD, PA, NP, Pharmacist.
  • Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) is preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience coordinating and conducting diabetes education with strong experience in the technical use of diabetes technology preferred.
Additional Requirements for Senior CDS Role
  • Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) certification required.
  • 4+ years of clinical diabetes education experience.
  • Experience coordinating and conducting diabetes device education in the medical device industry preferred.

Work Environment

Ensures environmental consciousness and safe practices are exhibited in decisions. Use of computer and telephone equipment and other related office accessories/devices to complete assignments. May work extended hours during peak business cycles and occasional weekends. Physical requirements such as lifting specific weights. Frequent travel within assigned territory is expected.
