Key Kitchen Role


The Key Kitchen Employee (KKE) at Wyld Child plays a crucial role in assisting the Kitchen Manager with the efficient operation of the kitchen, including responsibilities such as inventory management, staff training, maintaining high standards, ensuring customer satisfaction, and upholding food safety protocols.

To excel in this position, the KKE must possess a passion for the culinary industry, embody our core values, and lead with empathy and humor.



Qualifications:
Passion for the culinary field

Minimum of one year experience as a line cook

Able to work morning shifts with a flexible schedule

Assist colleagues in reaching their objectives
Support the Kitchen Manager in all facets of kitchen operations
Identify and nurture future leaders
Foster a positive and professional work atmosphere

Maintain Standards:
Food quality, visual appeal, and taste consistency
Be a visible presence throughout the kitchen:

Dishwashing Team:
Productivity and cleanliness
Support the line and front-of-house staff
Encourage a vibrant kitchen environment
Promptly and professionally assist the kitchen manager with team communications
Collaborate with Front of House Leadership & Team
Adhere to safety and sanitation standards, achieving high health inspection scores
Proficient in computer literacy and basic mathematics
Strong observational skills
Effective problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Exceptional follow-through capabilities
Consistently exemplify the ideal team member
Punctual for scheduled shifts
Complete assigned tasks within designated timeframes
Timely completion of relevant checklists, order guides, and inventory sheets

Essential Duties

Regularly engage with kitchen equipment and tools
Occasionally maneuver to clean under counters and inside equipment
Continuously communicate with staff
Regularly monitor food quality for taste and visual presentation
Frequently lift products weighing up to 50 lbs
Regularly work in varying temperature conditions

Demonstrate strong preparation skills.
