The Culinary Operations Manager's main responsibility is to partner with the Executive Chef in overseeing and guiding the kitchen personnel while showcasing advanced culinary expertise to deliver meals that are both nutritious and visually appealing to residents and guests. This role includes ensuring the accurate preparation of the designated menu in the absence of the Executive Chef and aiding in the supervision of all kitchen staff. It is essential to guarantee that all food is prepared and cooked according to specified recipes and protocols. The Culinary Operations Manager also ensures that meals served to residents and guests meet high standards of portion control, doneness, freshness, and presentation. This position may involve working across various levels of care. As a representative and integral member of the dining services team, this role is expected to embody professionalism and ensure resident satisfaction within the dining department.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in culinary arts or other formal culinary training and/or advanced education preferred.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience, including kitchen supervisory roles in a hotel, senior living community, or restaurant setting. Equivalent combinations of training and experience that provide the necessary skills, knowledge, and abilities are acceptable.
- ServSafe certification and/or Food Handlers Certification or enrollment in the certification course preferred.
