In this position, you will be a vital member of our federal contracting team, utilizing your exceptional customer service and communication skills to reach out to businesses across the United States. Your primary responsibility will be to conduct cold calls and enroll these organizations in essential government payroll surveys.
This role plays a crucial part in our nation's economic analysis, as the data you collect will assist the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) in evaluating labor market dynamics, working conditions, price fluctuations, and productivity metrics to guide both public and private sector decision-making.
Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:
- Conducting cold calls to businesses to achieve monthly performance targets.
- Processing sensitive data records gathered through telephone interviews or other authorized methods.
- Identifying and addressing discrepancies in respondents' answers.
- Building rapport with potential respondents and enrolling companies in the BLS Job Openings and Labor Turnover Survey (JOLTS).
- Ensuring the integrity of collected data while identifying and reporting issues in obtaining accurate information.
- Interpreting numerical data, reviewing error messages, and making necessary corrections.
- Meeting daily, weekly, and monthly performance goals.
- Researching contact information for target companies online.
Qualifications Required:
- Ability to successfully complete a level 2 government background investigation and drug screening (following US Federal Government standards).
- A high school diploma or equivalent, along with two years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in basic computer operations.
- Required proficiency in Microsoft Word, with additional experience in Microsoft Office preferred.
