We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Research and Development Chemist to join our team at LGM Pharma, LLC. As a key member of our Research and Development Department, you will be responsible for developing and validating analytical methods for pharmaceuticals.
Key Responsibilities- Method Development and Validation: Develop and validate analytical methods for pharmaceuticals, including HPLC, GC, ICP, UV, FTIR, and dissolution testing.
- Instrumentation and Equipment: Operate and maintain analytical instrumentation, including HPLC, GC, ICP, UV, FTIR, and dissolution testers.
- Software and Data Management: Work with chromatography data collection and management software, such as Empower and ChemStation, to collect and analyze data.
- Method Improvements and Modifications: Conduct method improvements and modifications on commercial analytical methods for pharmaceuticals.
- Method Development and Feasibility Studies: Conduct method development and USP method feasibility studies for assay, trace elements, and associated characteristics for pharmaceuticals.
- Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot problems associated with analytical methods for pharmaceuticals, including raw materials, finished product method development, quantitative and qualitative analysis, and improvement of analytical methodologies.
- Documentation and Quality Control: Work with the Lab Manager to develop and build a system for pharmaceutical analytical methods, including drafting, reviewing, and approving method validation protocols, reports, and analytical method SOPs. Coordinate with the Quality Control department to smoothly transfer validated methods to QC chemists.
- Education and Experience: B.S. with 8+ years, MS with 2+ years, or Ph.D. with related experience and/or training in pharmaceuticals, medical devices, or chemical industry.
- Technical Skills: Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and chromatography data collection and management software, such as Empower and ChemStation. Experience with HPLC, GC, ICP, UV, FTIR, and method development.
