Senior Analytical Chemist Opportunity

Kelly Science & Clinical is seeking a highly skilled Senior Analytical Chemist to join our team at a leading small molecule CDMO in Irvine, CA. As a key member of our analytical team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and purity of our pharmaceutical products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain complex analytical instrumentation, including HPLC, GC, ICP, UV, FTIR, and dissolution testers.
  • Develop and validate analytical methods for pharmaceuticals, including assay, trace elements, and associated characteristics.
  • Collaborate with the Lab Manager to establish documentation protocols for method validation, reports, and analytical method SOPs.
  • Analyze organic and inorganic compounds to determine chemical and physical properties.
  • Work with the Quality Control department to transfer validated methods to QC chemists.
  • Assist laboratory management in preparation for internal, customer, and agency audits.

Requirements:

  • BS, MS, or PhD in Chemistry, biochemistry, or related degree.
  • 8 years of small molecule drug discovery experience.
  • Experience with analytical instrumentation in a GMP environment.
  • Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and chromatography data collection and management software.
  • Understanding of cGMP principles and FDA regulations for pharmaceuticals.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
