Job Title: QC Chemist III

We are seeking a highly skilled QC Chemist III to join our Quality Control Department in Irvine, CA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform method validation, verification, transfer, and analytical testing for clinical submission materials, including raw materials, finished products, stabilities, and cleaning validation.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot analytical instrumentation, ensuring optimal performance and accuracy.
  • Conduct laboratory investigations, document findings, and peer review data generated by other chemists and technicians.
  • Develop, validate, and troubleshoot analytical methods, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Author standard operating procedures and analytical methods, ensuring clarity and effectiveness.
  • Perform and/or assist with equipment calibrations and qualification, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
  • Assist laboratory management with employee training, ensuring knowledge and skills are up-to-date.
  • Assist laboratory management in preparation for internal, customer, and agency audits, ensuring compliance and readiness.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years' experience in a chemistry laboratory or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years' experience with analytical instrumentation, such as HPLC, GC, CE, ICP, FTIR, and dissolution apparatus.
  • 2+ years' experience in GLP or GMP environment (preferred).
  • Ability to follow standard operating procedures and maintain accurate records.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively collaborate with colleagues.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and effectively perform concurrent tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
