Job Overview

The Anaplan Financial Planning Lead plays a pivotal role in overseeing the requirements and prioritization from various stakeholders within the finance domain, including planning, expenses, actuarial functions, and analytics.

This position demands the management of both functional and technical teams focused on Anaplan Financial System Solutions, ensuring the successful execution of Anaplan projects, business-as-usual (BAU) deliverables, and scenario modeling for all Anaplan-related activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive Anaplan Vision: Propel the established Anaplan vision and strategy through active engagement with stakeholders across the finance sector.
  • Collaboration with Model Owners: Partner with model owners to optimize the utilization of Anaplan in their comprehensive processes.
  • Timely Deliverables: Ensure the punctual delivery of all scheduled releases and BAU tasks associated with planning cycles, adhering to service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Audit Management: Respond promptly to both internal and external audit inquiries.
  • Status Reporting: Provide updates on Anaplan BAU status, risks, and issues to the Head of Financial Systems Solutions & Maintenance.
  • Documentation Oversight: Collaborate with the Anaplan team to ensure thorough documentation throughout all phases of the project lifecycle and BAU tasks.
  • Center of Excellence Management: Oversee the Anaplan Center of Excellence regarding user access, security, and license limitations.
  • Space Optimization: Manage the utilization and optimization of the company's workspace within Anaplan.
  • Technical Guidance: Offer technical subject matter expertise to the team for existing or new models and functionalities within Anaplan.
  • Model Maintenance: Guide the team in maintaining various models by collaborating with model owners to ensure seamless business operations.
  • Planning Cycle Support: Lead the Anaplan team in supporting planning cycles and ensuring business continuity.
  • Testing Oversight: Review unit and functional testing outcomes for enhancements and facilitate defect resolution.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Assist the Anaplan team in communicating root cause analyses and resolutions to the business.
  • Training Facilitation: Develop training materials and conduct training sessions for the Anaplan user community.
  • Team Development: Responsible for hiring, developing, and mentoring Anaplan staff.
Qualifications
  • University Graduate/Postgraduate with substantial experience in Insurance/Reinsurance Planning.
  • Accounting knowledge; Chartered Accountant designation is advantageous.
  • Expertise in Anaplan systems and scenario modeling.
  • Proficient in querying and manipulating large datasets for analytical purposes.
  • Experience with analytical tools such as MS PowerPoint and MS Excel.
  • High energy and a strong work ethic, with a commitment to achieving results.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and influence others to gain acceptance for ideas.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and root cause analysis capabilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
