This position will also act as the main point of contact with architects and consultants, resolving all field and constructability challenges. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Daily Oversight: Manage and supervise all subcontractors, consultants, and vendors daily to ensure sufficient workforce and high-quality output.
  • Project Scheduling: Organize and coordinate the schedules of subcontractors, consultants, and vendors to achieve timely project delivery.
  • Quality Assurance: Perform quality assurance inspections and resolve any issues related to the work being conducted.
  • Project Communication: Ensure effective communication with the project team regarding project plans, Requests for Information (RFIs), and material submissions.
  • Scope Management: Verify that subcontractors fully execute and adhere to their contracted responsibilities.
  • Inspection Coordination: Arrange and oversee necessary inspections with local regulatory bodies.
  • Safety Monitoring: Supervise subcontractor compliance with safety, health, and environmental quality standards, addressing any non-compliance matters.
  • Conflict Management: Identify and resolve conflicts in construction progress, liaising with the project team for solutions.
  • Daily Reporting: Maintain a thorough daily log of job site activities.
  • Deficiency Oversight: Ensure subcontractors rectify any deficiencies noted by the project team.
  • Team Meetings: Conduct weekly meetings with subcontractors to synchronize work and address concerns.
  • Compliance Notifications: Issue notifications of non-compliance to subcontractors regarding quality or scheduling matters.
  • Site Maintenance: Ensure the job site remains orderly and clean at all times.
  • Project Support: Assist with budgeting, bidding, and subcontract awarding processes as required.
  • Documentation Management: Maintain current records of submissions, shop drawings, and construction documents on-site to ensure proper execution.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience: A minimum of three years of proven experience in a similar capacity. Extensive knowledge of construction trades and proficiency with computers and mobile devices is essential.
  • Preferred Background: Experience with tenant improvements, restaurant buildouts, and/or multifamily projects is highly desirable. Familiarity with construction management software (e.g., Procore, PlanGrid) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Project, Outlook) is also beneficial.
