Position Overview: We are looking for a part-time Materials Handling Intern to join our team. This role is designed for students who are eager to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic environment.

Work Schedule:

  • Flexible hours, approximately 16-20 hours weekly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Unpack, inspect, count, and label incoming materials.
  • Document receipts and identify discrepancies.
  • Verify and reconcile documentation such as packing slips and certifications against purchase orders.
  • Transport materials using appropriate handling equipment.
  • Execute receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping processes.
  • Ensure proper handling and storage of products to prevent damage or deterioration.
  • Prepare aircraft components for shipment to aftermarket customers.
  • Facilitate timely delivery of aircraft parts to the production area.
  • Maintain an effective inventory control and management system.
  • Adhere to all facility regulatory and safety standards.
  • Ensure inventory accuracy and accessibility.

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a 2- or 4-year program pursuing a relevant degree in business, management, supply chain, or related fields.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with a genuine desire to assist others.
  • Strong organizational abilities to meet daily operational goals.
  • High level of attention to detail.

Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background checks.
  • Commitment to complete the entire internship duration.
  • Capability to secure local housing for the internship period.
