About the Role

Cirrus Aircraft is a leading manufacturer of personal aircraft, and we're seeking a highly skilled China Business Operations Professional to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you'll play a crucial role in coordinating and streamlining business processes between Cirrus Aircraft and our Chinese counterparts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Production Coordination
    • Assist in coordinating production activities for Chinese manufacturing partners, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality aircraft components.
    • Collaborate with engineers to understand the assembly process of SR2X and SR1X aircraft, identifying areas for improvement and implementing process enhancements.
    • Develop and implement process improvements to simplify and streamline production activities, reducing lead times and increasing efficiency.
  • Supply Chain Management
    • Work with the supply chain team to manage the ordering and timely delivery of parts and materials, ensuring a stable and reliable supply chain.
    • Address and resolve any supply chain issues that may impact production timelines, minimizing disruptions and ensuring business continuity.
  • Technical Support
    • Provide technical assistance to the Chinese production team to address any issues related to aircraft assembly, ensuring that production meets quality and safety standards.
    • Facilitate communication between the engineering team and the Chinese production team to resolve technical challenges, ensuring that issues are addressed promptly and effectively.
  • Issue Resolution
    • Identify and address any operational or production issues that arise, working to find effective solutions in a timely manner.
    • Communicate and coordinate with relevant stakeholders to resolve problems and minimize disruptions, ensuring business continuity.
    • Document and report on issues and resolutions to ensure continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
  • Documentation and Reporting
    • Participate and periodically present during regular weekly/biweekly meetings with China counterparts, providing updates on production status, supply chain performance, and technical support efforts.
    • Prepare regular reports on production status, supply chain performance, technical support efforts, and issue resolution, providing insights and recommendations for process improvements.
Qualifications
  • Upper division student currently pursuing a degree in Engineering, Business Operations, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in aerospace and aircraft production processes, with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse international teams.
  • Strong penchant for continuous improvement, with a focus on process optimization and efficiency.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), with experience in data analysis and reporting.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities, with a focus on meeting deadlines and delivering results.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
Desirable but not Required
  • Quality Management Systems Experience, with a focus on process improvement and certification.
  • International Business experience, with a focus on global supply chain management and logistics.
  • Proficiency in Mandarin Chinese, with a focus on communication and cultural awareness.
  • Lean 6 Sigma project experience, with a focus on process improvement and efficiency.
  • Familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, with a focus on data analysis and reporting.
