Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Associate Project Manager to join our team at Qcells. As a key member of our operations division, you will play a critical role in the execution of commercial and industrial solar EPC contracts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Planning and Coordination: Assist in planning, coordinating, and managing C&I PV and ESS installations under the guidance of a senior project manager.
  • Job Site Management: Manage job-site equipment and material deliveries.
  • Permitting and Compliance: Assist in applying for permits, interconnections, and incentives as required.
  • Client Support: Provide support to clients, subcontractors, and team members.
  • Internal Liaison: Liaise with internal engineering department.
  • Financial Management: Assist with purchase orders and budgets.
  • Project Scheduling: Update and maintain project schedules.
  • Desk and Field Support: Provide desk and field support.
  • Site Visits: Attend occasional site visits, maintain detailed notes, and be able to speak about technical details to company members, clients, and subcontractors.
  • Process Improvement: Work with other internal departments to improve company protocols, installation practices, and company growth.
  • Communication: Communicate with subcontractors, building and maintaining relationships while preparing and submitting progress reports to clients.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering, operations, or construction management preferred but not required.
  • Teamwork and Problem-Solving: Ability to coordinate with a team and problem solve with others.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to read and understand building plans.
  • Organizational Skills: Excellent record keeping and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple assignments with shifting priorities and deadlines.
  • Driver's License: Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Work Authorization: Must be able to legally work in the U.S.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • Project Management Software: Familiarity with Gannt chart software (Smartsheets, MS Project, etc.).
  • Previous Experience: Previous experience in solar is a strong plus.
Work Environment

This is a hybrid position based out of our Teaneck, NJ office and will require occasional travel to job sites. The ideal candidate will have a passion for renewable energy and a background in engineering, construction, or a related field.
