Job Overview

NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln is seeking a skilled Anesthesiologist to join their team. As an Anesthesiologist at this esteemed institution, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of patients and cases, from bread-and-butter procedures to complex surgeries.

The department averages 160 cases per week, supported by an active and dynamic OB team that performed 1,580 deliveries last year. The hospital boasts 8 main operating rooms, 2 cystoscopy rooms, 2 labor and delivery ORs, 2 endoscopy suites, and 1 interventional radiology room.

The case load spans a wide range, primarily bread-and-butter cases, but also includes healthy pediatrics, obstetrics, neurology, thoracic, vascular, orthopedics, ENT, and trauma. As an Anesthesiologist at NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln, you will have the opportunity to work with a talented team of healthcare professionals and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Determines and prescribes kinds of anesthetics and procedures to be employed in various categories of cases.
  • Advises Anesthetists and Surgeons in cases where age or condition of patient presents unusual or complex problems.
  • Recommends suitable anesthesia, advises on dosages and consults on post-operative complications.
  • Reviews case histories and is responsible for all matters pertaining to Anesthesiology.
  • Lectures to and trains Anesthetists, Residents and auxiliary staff.
  • Attends clinical conferences.
  • Administers anesthesia.
  • Performs related work as required.
Qualifications
  • Board Certification or Eligibility in Anesthesia
  • A license to practice Medicine in the State of New York
Compensation and Benefits

NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln offers a competitive compensation package, including an annual base salary of $390,000* (board eligible) and $400,000* (board certified), as well as additional compensation for extra call or sessional/per diem hours. The annual total value of the compensation package is estimated at $637,350** (board eligible) and $650,000** (board certified), which includes the baseline salary, fringe benefits, sessional/per diem hours, and other factors.

The compensation package also includes a 401(k) Company Contribution, Annual Continuing Medical Education (CME) Reimbursement, Generous Annual Paid Time Off (PTO), Medical, Prescription, and Dental Coverage, Life Insurance and Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) Coverage, Loan Forgiveness, Medical Malpractice Coverage, Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs), and Pre-tax employee-paid contributions for commuting expenses.
