Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced neurologist to serve as the Chief of the Division of Neuromuscular Disorders in our Department of Neurology at Rutgers University.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Division of Neuromuscular Disorders and oversee the MDA-designated ALS Center of Excellence
  • Function as the Chief of the Electromyography (EMG) Laboratory at RWJBH-NB
  • Supervise and mentor division faculty members
  • Care for patients with neuromuscular disorders in outpatient and hospital settings
  • Perform electrodiagnostic tests in both outpatient and hospital settings
  • Participate in the Department's educational activities, including lecturing students and residents
  • Contribute to the Department's administrative activities
  • Participate in clinical neuromuscular research programs
  • Teach and mentor fellows, residents, and medical students
  • Participate in community service responsibilities, such as providing neurological care for indigent patients
Requirements
  • Board-certified or eligible neurologist with strong interests in clinical research and teaching
  • Completed a fellowship in neuromuscular disorders or related clinical neurosciences
  • Eligible for a New Jersey medical license
