Rutgers University's Department of Neurology is seeking a highly experienced and accomplished Division Chief to lead their Epilepsy Center. As a prominent member of the clinical team, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, advancing clinical research, and fostering a culture of excellence within the department.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Epilepsy Center as a Division Chief, overseeing clinical operations, research initiatives, and educational programs.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to advance the department's clinical and research missions.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care, including surface and intracranial EEG video monitoring, intraoperative electrocorticography, functional mapping, and Neuro-ICU services.
- Recruit and mentor faculty members, promoting a culture of excellence and innovation within the department.
- Develop and manage budgets, ensuring effective resource allocation and financial stewardship.
- Engage in clinical research, publishing papers, and presenting at national and international conferences.
- Participate in departmental and university-wide committees, contributing to policy development and strategic planning.
Requirements
- MD or equivalent degree from an accredited institution.
- Board certification or eligibility in neurology, with a fellowship in neuromuscular disorders or related clinical neurosciences.
- Eligibility for a New Jersey medical license.
- Proven track record of leadership, clinical excellence, and research productivity.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and management skills.
