About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial HVAC Service Account Manager to join our team at Carrier. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for pursuing opportunities for service agreements, quick turn projects, and large opportunities that help our customers modernize their equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sales and Account Management: Sell the full portfolio of Carrier HVAC Service products and solutions, including service agreements, repairs, and modernizations.
  • Customer Relationship Building: Create and maintain Sales Territory and Account plans, present at customer seminars to develop new and existing customer relationships and opportunities.
  • Value Proposition: Promote Carrier's value proposition, linking customer objectives to Carrier solutions.
  • CRM Management: Utilize CRM to manage customer interactions, activities, and opportunity pipeline.
  • Opportunity Identification: Seek out and access new service agreement opportunities with existing and new prospect customers.
  • Repair and Modernization: Seek out or respond to repair opportunities and establish credibility with knowledge of Carrier products/solutions.
  • Customer Relationship Sustenance: Develop and sustain customer relationships, clearly articulate the value of Carrier's value offerings, and detect the customer's buying stage.
  • Communication and Presentation: Effective presentation and communication skills, prioritize on best opportunities, and respond to customer requirements in a timely manner.
  • Performance Metrics: Consistently achieve sales metrics and Annual Targets, and effectively negotiate service agreement renewals when required.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma/GED
  • Experience: 2+ Years of Commercial HVAC Sales Experience
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift/carry 20 lbs, climb ladders/stairs, and be comfortable working on roofs/platforms
  • Travel: Ability to travel up to 80% within the assigned territory
Preferred Qualifications
  • Technical Skills: Extremely comfortable operating in a technical environment utilizing Microsoft-based computer software
  • Sales and Negotiation Skills: Outstanding sales/negotiation skills and goal-oriented with strong time management and organizational skills
  • Communication Skills: Demonstrated strong written, verbal, and presentation skills to effectively develop expectations and relationships with internal and external customers
  • Sales Experience: Previous experience in selling service agreements and ability to sell directly to end-user customers
  • Cross-Selling and Upselling: Demonstrated ability to introduce others to cross-sell and upsell within their base of customers
  • Proactive Selling: Ability to identify opportunities to proactively sell preventative repair/upgrade packages
  • Self-Motivation: Self-motivated and able to manage many simultaneous projects and responsibilities
