About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Surgical Tech Svcs Specialist to join our team at St. Mark's Hospital. As a Surgical Technical Services Specialist, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care and supporting our surgical team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist staff during operative and invasive procedures, ensuring a safe and efficient environment for patients.
  • Prepare the operating room for procedures, including setting up equipment and supplies.
  • Act as a preceptor for other techs, providing guidance and support to ensure a smooth learning experience.
  • Formulate and update protocols for specialty procedures, working closely with the RN service specialist.
  • Manage new and existing instruments and supplies, ensuring they are properly maintained and organized.
Requirements
  • American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification.
  • Surgical Technologist Certificate (CST) and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or equivalent required. Must maintain required education and certification.
  • Completion of surgical technologist course preferred.
  • Two years of experience required.
