Position Overview: The Commercial HVAC Service Operations Manager will oversee the daily operations of our commercial HVAC service department. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of our service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage service agreements, time and materials service, and various service projects.
  • Possess a strong understanding of mechanical systems along with relevant codes and industry standards.
  • Inspire and motivate the workforce to maintain high morale and productivity.
  • Effectively manage service projects while controlling labor costs to achieve gross profit objectives.
  • Address customer complaints promptly to ensure resolution and foster long-term relationships.
  • Oversee daily operations, modifying existing processes and procedures as necessary.
  • Supervise, train, and provide technical support to HVAC technicians to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain continuous communication with service technicians, coordinators, management, and vendors regarding expectations and deliverables.
  • Ensure timely ordering of all parts and materials.
  • Maintain accurate service records.
  • Monitor and document financial performance against established plans.
  • Engage with customers to ensure satisfaction and identify additional service opportunities.
  • Recruit, interview, and train technicians to meet workload demands and customer expectations.
  • Communicate effectively within the team to ensure proper scheduling and dispatching of personnel based on skill level and training requirements.
  • Review work orders, invoices, and time reports for accuracy to manage accounts receivable efficiently.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in HVAC service management with a successful track record in running an HVAC service division.
  • Familiarity with pricing, billing, and financial report analysis.
  • Skilled in developing high-performing service teams through effective coaching and performance management.
  • Proficient in computer applications, including MS Office and service dispatch systems.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Successful completion of background checks and pre-employment drug tests.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • A strong work ethic and self-motivation.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Competitive salary range of $85,000 to $95,000, depending on experience.
  • Bonus potential of up to 25% of annual salary, with potential increases as the business grows.
