We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Patient Registration Representative to join our team at Trinity Health. Key Responsibilities- Register patients for medical services, including collecting demographic and insurance information, and verifying patient eligibility for services.
- Collect and process patient payments, including co-payments, deductibles, and self-pay deposits.
- Verify insurance coverage and benefits, and obtain necessary authorizations and referrals.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including demographic and insurance information.
- Provide excellent customer service and support to patients and families, responding to their questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and registration processes.
- Stay up-to-date with changing regulations and policies related to patient registration and insurance verification.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Minimum of one year of experience in patient registration or a related field.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and coding systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of electronic medical records systems.
- HFMA CRCR or NAHAM CHAA certification.
- Experience working in a hospital or healthcare setting.
- Knowledge of insurance verification and billing processes.
- Ability to work in a team environment and provide support to colleagues as needed.
This position operates in a typical office environment, with frequent communication with patients, families, and healthcare professionals. The ability to sit and walk throughout the day is required, with occasional lifting and pushing of patients in wheelchairs.
