ISUDT Marriage and Family Therapist Specialist

AdeIphi MedicaI Staffing is seeking a highly skilled Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) to join our team at ISUDT. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide essential services to patients, including assessments, clinical interventions, and counseling.
Responsibilities- Perform comprehensive assessments and provide individual and group counseling services, adhering to facility policies and under the supervision of the Supervising Psychiatric Social Worker.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans, ensuring seamless coordination of patient care.
- Assist patients in transitioning to community resources upon release, promoting continuity of care.
- Deliver evidence-based interventions, including Cognitive Behavior Therapy, to address Substance Use Disorders and other mental health concerns.
- Conduct thorough assessments for patients preparing for release, identifying areas for improvement and developing targeted interventions.
- Provide education and counseling to enhance life skills and address Substance Use Disorder-related issues.
- Contribute to treatment and care planning, ensuring patient-centered care.
- Review patient records, gather data, and complete necessary documentation, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
- Make recommendations to care teams, fostering effective communication and collaboration.
- Document patient progress, assisting with discharges and transfers in coordination with other rehabilitation programs.
- Collaborate with institutional partners and custody staff to evaluate patient participation and progress.
- Attend required case conferences, meetings, training sessions, and committees, and perform additional duties as necessary.
- Valid and active California Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) license issued by the California Board of Behavioral Science.
- At least 12 consecutive months of performing similar services within the last 3 years.
- Must have the required certificates relevant to the assigned specialized area.
This position is a long-term contract opportunity at a correctional facility in San Luis Obispo, California. The successful candidate will work a 32-week schedule, with a rate of $2,560/40-hours.
