Job Responsibilities- Provide assessments and clinical interventions, including counseling, to inmates in a correctional setting.
- Collaborate with other professionals to contribute to care planning and coordinate interdisciplinary care.
- Assist in transitional care planning, connecting inmates with community resources upon release.
- Deliver intervention, education, and counseling services in marriage, couples, family, and individual contexts.
- Administer Cognitive Behavior Therapy for individuals with Substance Use Disorders.
- Conduct assessments for inmates preparing for release.
- Offer education and counseling to develop life skills and address Substance Use Disorder-related issues.
- Contribute to treatment and care plans.
- Review patient records, gather data, and complete necessary documentation.
- Make recommendations to care teams and foster effective communication.
- Valid and active California Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) license issued by the California Board of Behavioral Science.
- At least 12 consecutive months of performing similar services within the last 3 years.
- Must have the required certificates relevant to the assigned specialized area.
