Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Liquid Distribution Subsystem Responsible Engineer/Technical Lead to join our Fluids team working on our pathfinding mission to the moon. As a key member of our team, you will provide technical leadership, support team members, and advise on technical approaches. Your expertise will be essential in developing and integrating aerospace systems for flight.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical leadership to the team and support members in developing and integrating aerospace systems.
  • Advise on technical approaches and bring experience to solve complex problems.
  • Mentor and train other team members to ensure knowledge sharing and growth.
  • Work on the complete life cycle of the system, from definition to operation, including interfaces, conceptual design, detailed design, component development, assembly, verification, and operation.
  • Plan and manage component schedules, identify risks, and develop mitigation plans for hardware.
  • Collaborate with internal and external suppliers to design, build, test, and analyze components.
Requirements
  • B.S. in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, Physics, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of experience in fluids and mechanical systems/components.
  • Experience developing, integrating, and certifying aerospace systems for flight.
  • Experience with fluid/gas components, such as solenoid valves, directional valves, manifolds, regulators, pressure vessels, and instrumentation.
  • Leadership experience in small teams and subcontractor teams.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Familiarity with agile or waterfall project management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • M.S. in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, Physics, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Systems Engineering experience, specifically requirements and interface definition, management, and verification.
  • Cryogenic fluids experience.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD programs (Creo preferred) and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) programs (ANSYS preferred).
  • Experience with upper stages and spacecraft.
  • Experience with the entire life cycle of a propulsion and fluid system.
