Key Responsibilities- Provide exceptional customer service to County staff, citizens, and public officials
- Respond to routine and sensitive inquiries in a prompt and courteous manner
- Collaborate with HR staff on departmental assignments, including OSHA reporting, benefit term packets, and employee onboarding
- Prepare reports and presentations for internal communications
- Manage phone calls, address general inquiries, and process incoming mail
- Maintain departmental email boxes, calendars, and meeting room schedules
- Track and order office supplies for HR divisions and County program events
- Maintain confidentiality in the performance of job duties
- Contribute to the planning and setup of various departmental meetings and events
- Provide administrative support to departmental staff on special projects
- High school diploma and four (4) years directly related administrative experience
- Proficiency in MS Office software required
- Certified Administrative Professional (CAP) and previous related Human Resources experience with HRIS software desirable
- Experience working with HR benefits functions and programs, as well as a Virginia Notary Commission, is highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of Human Resources administrative best practices
- Skilled in confidential record handling, problem solving, critical thinking, and administrative environments
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Ability to establish positive and collaborative working relationships at all levels of the organization
