Position Overview: The primary responsibility of this role is to facilitate approved consumer loan origination, funding, and associated tasks across various consumer loan channels, including indirect, direct, and remote options. This position acts as a key intermediary between indirect loan dealers, branches, members, and the underwriting department, focusing on enhancing service delivery and promoting credit union products. The role requires providing expertise in consumer loan offerings, addressing member inquiries, and cross-selling additional credit union services. It also involves resolving loan-related issues and directing members to the appropriate departments while fostering teamwork.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist members and prospective members with their loan inquiries and requests. Support dealers with their indirect lending processing requirements. Process consumer loan applications and originate loans for members via phone, indirect lending, or online channels. Handle online membership applications and return calls to dealers and members regarding loan and membership decisions, including rates, terms, and stipulations.
  • Ensure all loan funding and documentation are processed accurately, completely, and promptly, thereby helping the Credit Union maintain strong relationships with local dealers and members. Provide assistance to members, colleagues, and dealer representatives in resolving issues and answering queries.
  • Analyze credit reports to identify opportunities for cross-selling or pre-approvals, offering additional financial solutions to members with existing loans or financial products.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of one year of experience in a financial institution is required.
  • A high school diploma or GED is necessary.
Required Skills:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with all organizational levels.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including business writing capabilities.
  • Ability to calculate rates, ratios, and percentages.
  • Ability to identify problems, gather data, establish facts, and draw conclusions while managing various abstract and concrete variables.
