Collections Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Collections Specialist to join our team at OneMain Financial. As a Collections Specialist, you will play a critical role in working with our customers to resolve account matters and improve their financial outlook.
Key Responsibilities- Assist customers with all financial servicing needs through both inbound and outbound contact, providing consultative solutions for repayment of loans and improving their financial situation.
- Negotiate with customers to resolve account matters, following all applicable laws, policies, and procedures, including compliance with the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and state regulations.
- Maintain and note all appropriate information and documentation on customer and account status.
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve customer issues and improve overall customer experience.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Proficiency in utilizing multiple tools and systems simultaneously.
- Skilled at achieving and exceeding goals.
- Preferred: Experience working in customer service, collections, or call center environments, as well as bilingual skills in Spanish.
