Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and evaluate target growth segments in the assigned area, analyzing market size, key drivers, and competitive landscape.
  • Establish and nurture new relationships with end users, engineering, procurement, and construction firms, as well as packaging companies involved with reciprocating compressors.
  • Implement Account Management Plans to retain and expand the compression aftermarket business with current clients.
  • Maintain a robust sales pipeline with clear checkpoints for soliciting, screening, product proposals, pricing, and follow-up.
  • Lead the sales process from initial discovery through to order placement and project initiation, ensuring customer commitments are met throughout the order execution phase.
  • Develop strong relationships with key decision-makers to effectively communicate customer needs and expedite purchasing decisions.
  • Contribute to the overall strategic direction of the company, fostering a customer-centric approach and enhancing market positioning.
  • Generate and oversee multi-year sales forecasts, communicating insights to finance and management teams.
  • Collaborate closely with customer service, engineering, and production departments to ensure seamless operations.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the sales processes.
  • Assist in resolving any outstanding payment issues in coordination with the finance team.
  • Monitor competitor activities and respond strategically.
  • Manage conflict resolution as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in sales or technical roles within refineries, chemical plants, or the oil and gas industry, with a preference for those familiar with reciprocating compressors.
  • A strong drive for success and a desire for career advancement.
  • Proven ability to understand customer challenges and develop effective solutions.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, capable of engaging with customers at all organizational levels.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • A valid driver's license and readiness to travel within the territory, with up to 50% overnight travel required.
