Job Overview

Axcient is seeking a highly skilled Sales Engineer to join our team. As a Sales Engineer, you will play a critical role in assisting the sales organization throughout the sales process. Your primary responsibility will be to act as a mentor and guide to our Sales team, building an educational foundation for key technical areas of Axcient solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform product demos of the various Axcient solutions, including assessing and documenting prospect environments, validating the technical 'win' on the solution, and conducting in-pre-sales trial setups with prospects.
  • Review proposals to ensure all solution elements, software, services, and managed services are properly validated against the Project Scope of Work.
  • Assist in responding to RFIs/RFPs and convey customer feature requests and product enhancements to the Development/Product Manager/Support teams.
  • Advise on deployment processes for a smooth handoff to the onboarding team and act as the sales team's liaison to the Onboarding and Support teams.
  • Attend meetings and participate in training as necessary to keep up with the sales and technical training, and perform periodic technical training as needed.
  • Strategize with Sales on approach for site visits, product demos, and closing calls, and conduct in-person and virtual demonstrations and presentations at tradeshows, Lunch and Learns, conferences, trainings, and other similar events.
Requirements
  • BS in Computer Science or Information Systems or equivalent years of experience.
  • At least 2-3 years of Sales Engineering or Technical Sales experience.
  • Strong exposure to Backup Solutions, Disaster Recovery, and File Sync Software.
  • Understanding of Hosted and On-Premises technologies, as well as the network layer in between.
  • Solid competency with architecture, design, and implementation of technical solutions.
  • Strong experience with Windows, MacOS, and Linux-based operations systems.
  • Experience with network/systems administration (network and software certification a plus).
  • Proven leadership skills and a desire to coach and mentor individuals in technology.
  • Ability to learn quickly, self-educate, and adapt in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Team and customer-oriented attitude.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to present information through screen share and convey information to all levels of an organization (CEO, CTO, COO).
  • Flexibility to travel, on occasion, to client sites, Lunch and Learns, and trade shows – up to 25%.
  • Experience and comfortability working remotely.
  • Competence with virtual environments and hypervisors such as VMware and Hyper-V.
  • Competence with IaaS environments such as AWS, Azure, and related technological knowledge and experience.
  • Comfortable working hybrid.
  • Located in Denver, Colorado.
