About the Role

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist Level II to join our team in Santa Clara, California.

Job Summary

As a Radiology Technologist Level II, you will play a critical role in assisting physicians in the diagnosis of disease and injuries by performing radiographic diagnostic imaging procedures. You will operate radiographic equipment to produce high-quality images of the body, ensuring optimal diagnostic quality and patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform specialized and routine diagnostic radiology procedures to assist physicians in diagnosis.
  • Explain procedures to patients to reduce anxieties and obtain cooperation.
  • Prepare and position patients for diagnostic imaging procedures.
  • Adjust immobilization devices to obtain optimal views of specified body areas.
  • Determine exposure factors based on patient height, weight, and body area involved.
  • Operate mobile radiologic equipment in operating rooms, emergency rooms, or at patient bedsides.
  • Assist radiologists and other qualified physicians in fluoroscopic and special x-ray examinations.
  • Prepare images for reading by radiologists or requesting physicians.
  • Process images and review for proper identification and quality control.
  • Perform routine maintenance, diagnose malfunctions, and make minor repairs on radiologic equipment.
  • Practice radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patients and staff.
  • Complete forms and maintain records, logs, and reports of work performed.
  • Orient new staff and train students.

  • Radiologic Technologist Certificate (California)
  • Certified Radiologic Technologist - Fluoroscopy Certificate (California)
  • Basic Life Support
