About the Role

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist Level II to join our team in Tucker, Georgia.

Job Summary

This position involves performing a variety of standard radiographic procedures in a safe and efficient manner, reviewing and transmitting films and reports to appropriate physicians, and performing reception and clerical duties within the Radiology Department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for radiographic procedures by accurately assessing their needs and providing patient education.
  • Perform radiographic and/or fluoroscopic procedures, demonstrating skills for IV placement and injection of contrast materials.
  • Operate computer and radiographic equipment for image production and documentation of images.
  • Enter and properly complete all patient information, including exam charges and supplies, into the Radiology Information System (RIS) and/or other KP application.
  • Prepare films for interpretation by the radiologist in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Exhibit flexibility and adaptability to unique needs of the department and respond appropriately.
  • Communicate abnormal situations to proper sources in a way that facilitates resolution and/or tracking.
  • Actively engage other health care providers to ensure quality, continuity, and appropriateness of care.
  • Follow department procedures/processes/policies, practicing safety measures in radiography by adhering to all governing regulations.
Requirements
  • One (1) year of experience as a Radiological Technologist.
  • Basic Life Support certification.
  • Radiologic Technologist Certification.
  • General knowledge of EH&S, OSHA, DHR, Radiation Safety and Protection.
  • General knowledge of exam protocols.
  • Basic PC (keyboarding & navigation) skills.
