Job Summary:

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist Level II to join our team in San Francisco, California.

This role involves preparing, measuring, and administering radiopharmaceuticals in diagnostic and therapeutic studies. The successful candidate will utilize efficient and safe processes to perform related technological functions, ensuring optimal diagnostic quality of patient care.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nuclear medicine, with a minimum of three years of experience. A Bachelor's degree or graduate of a JRCNMT accredited nuclear medicine program is required. Certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (RHN) and registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) is also necessary.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Performing diagnostic studies on patients, using scanners or scintillation cameras to detect radiation emitted and to produce appropriately diagnostic images
  • Preparing PET radiopharmaceuticals, calculating doses, and administering doses
  • Measuring radioactivity, using Geiger counters, scalers, and scintillation detectors
  • Following radiation safety techniques in use and disposal of radioactive materials
  • Training and orienting PET/CT Technologists
  • Performing other related duties as necessary
