About the Role

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist Level II to join our team in Walnut Creek, California.

This is a 20-hour per week position, with a shift of 8 hours, evenings. As an MRI Technologist Level II, you will be responsible for operating magnetic resonance imaging equipment to produce high-quality images of patients' bodies for diagnostic purposes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform patient studies according to set protocols, including placing specified coils close to the area of interest.
  • Operate imaging and other equipment devices to ensure optimal diagnostic quality of patient care.
  • Interview patients to explain magnetic resonance imaging procedures and address any concerns they may have.
  • Ensure patient and staff safety by explaining safety protocols and monitoring patients via closed-circuit TV.
  • Orient new hires and train MRI Technologists, students, and trainees.
Requirements
  • Minimum two (2) years of continuous recent experience as a MRI Technologist and be fully proficient in all the duties required of a MRI Technologist II.
  • Radiologic Technologist Certificate (California)
  • Certified Radiologic Technologist - Venipuncture Certificate (California) within 6 months of hire
  • Basic Life Support
