About the Position:

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Defense Health Agency Civilian Corps as a Supervisory Physician Psychiatrist. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and leading a team of healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and provide treatment services to patients with psychiatric conditions, including assessment, medication management, and disposition.
  • Provide routine, intensive, complex, and emergency intakes and extended evaluations for a variety of emotional, psychological, and behavioral disorders.
  • Provide continuing follow-up care for chronic patients with acute disorders and complications of these disorders, such as psychosis, organic brain syndrome, substance abuse/addictions, etc.

Qualifications:

  • US Citizenship required.
  • Board Certified in Psychiatry.
  • Permanent, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in a State, District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.
